LEArning Games for older Europeans

LEAGE is a research project of the Lifelong Learning Programme funded by the Education, Audiovisual, Culture and Training Agency of the European Commission. The project aims to motivate elders to participate in lifelong learning activities by transforming learning and education activities into games.

For this purpose, LEAGE has chosen a popular medium, digital TV, as the main channel to address learners, and an alternative medium, the Kinect for XBOX 360 console, in an effort to combine learning and socialising with family members (grandchildren) thus fostering inter-generational family learning. Within the project users from Greece, Netherlands and Spain will be involved. The project started in January 2011 and ended in February 2013.

On the project's website you may find information about the project's goals, progress and results, you may contact the project consortium, and find interesting material regarding not only the project, but also the fields of serious, educational games, adult learning, learning opportunities for older users, etc. Selected information is also available in Spanish, Dutch, Greek and Slovenian.

For any comments, questions or suggestions do not hesitate to contact us!
